INFORMACIÓN
SOBRE PAGO DE DERECHOS CONSULARES
A partir del
1 de Septiembre de 2004
la Sección Consular de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en
Caracas implementará un nuevo procedimiento de pago para todos los
solicitantes de visa.
Para poder aplicar a una visa de turista,
todos los solicitantes deberán acudir a una oficina del Banco
Provincial y cancelar el equivalente a US$100
tal como se ha venido realizando. Sin embargo, en lugar de
utilizar las planillas de pagos acostumbradas, el solicitante
deberá presentar el Formulario de Aplicación
DS-156 al cancelar en el Banco. Este formulario puede ser
llenado online en la siguiente dirección:

El formulario deberá ser llenado en su totalidad, y deberá estar
firmado y fechado en los espacios correspondientes.
El recibo por el pago de los
derechos consulares se imprimirá en el mismo formulario
DS-156, por lo que el solicitante
deberá presentar dicho formulario con la información impresa al
momento de solicitar su visa como prueba del pago.
Se podrán realizar pequeñas
correcciones en el formulario DS-156
siempre que la información sea legible. Si posterior al pago el
solicitante se ve en la necesidad de llenar el formulario
DS-156 nuevamente, deberá presentar
ambos formularios al momento de solicitar la cita (el anterior con
el recibo de pago impreso, y el nuevo con la información
correcta).
El Consulado continuará
aceptado las planillas de pagos realizados antes del 1 de
Septiembre hasta un año después de implementada esta medida.

INFORMATION ON PAYMENT OF CONSULAR FEES
Beginning on September 1st,
2004 the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy Caracas will
implement a new payment process for all visa applicants.
In order to apply for a tourist visa all
applicants will have to go to their local
Banco Provincial office and pay $100 consular application
fee, as it is currently done. However, instead of using the
voucher with the green and yellow copy, you must have your DS-156
application form with you when you go to the bank. The DS-156 can
be filled out on-line at this site:
http://evisaforms.state.gov/
The application form should be filled
out, as well as dated and you must sign the form.
Your receipt of
payment for the $100 application fee will be printed directly on
your DS-156 application form.
You must submit
this form with your application as proof of payment of the fee.
Small corrections can be made to the form after your payment as
long as the information is legible. If you subsequently complete a
new form you will need to present both the new and old forms.
The Consulate will
continue to receive green and yellow vouchers as proof of payments
done before September 1st up
until one year after the implementation of this new procedure.
